For the last ten years he has worked for the U.S. Agency for International Development, an independent agency that provides economic, development and humanitarian assistance around the world in support of U.S. foreign policy. Hale has worked in Thailand, Ecuador, and British Guiana, assisting the native population primarily with agricultural matters.
